Hyundai Tucson: Front Muffler

Hyundai Tucson - Fourth generation (NX4) - (2020-2023) - Workshop Manual / Engine Mechanical System / Intake And Exhaust System / Front Muffler

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector (A).

  1. Remove the engine room rear under cover (A).

Tightening torque : 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  1. Remove the front muffler (A) after disconnecting the hanger (B).

Tightening torque :

A : 39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb.ft)

B : 30.4 - 45.1 N.m (3.1 - 4.6 kgf.m, 22.4 - 33.3 lb.ft)

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING

When installing, replace with new gaskets.
