Hyundai Tucson: GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter)

Hyundai Tucson - Fourth generation (NX4) - (2020-2023) - Workshop Manual / Engine Mechanical System / Intake And Exhaust System / GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter)

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the floor under cover front RH.
  3. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (EGTS) Front (A) and Rear (B).

  1. Remove the gasoline particulate filter (A).

Tightening torque : 39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb-ft)

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING

When installing, replace with new gaskets.

Center Muffler/ Rear Muffler

Center Muffler

  1. Remove the center muffler (A)

Tightening torque : 39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb-ft)

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING

When installing, replace with new gaskets.

Rear Muffler

Remove the rear muffler (A)

Tightening torque : 39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb-ft)

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING

When installing, replace with new gaskets.
