Description
The system detects the passenger in the vehicle and prevents the driver from getting off the vehicle with the passenger in the
- 1st warning: If you open the driver's door after you open and then close the rear passenger and turn the engine off, the system provides warning by showing message on the cluster and giving voice instruction.
- 2nd warning
- The system detects the indoor movement using the rear occupant alert sensor installed on the head lining when the driver gets off the vehicle and locks all the doors.
- If any movement inside the vehicle is detected, horn and Hazard Warning Flasher are activated for 25 seconds and the mobile text message is sent.
Components
- Rear Occupant Alert Sensor
- Integrated body control unit
- Cluster (Message pop-up and Voice)
Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the cover (A) by using a flat-tip screwdriver.
- Disconnect the connector (A) and then remove the occupant alert sensor.
Installation
- Install the occupant alert sensor.
- Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
